BETHANY, W.V. (Oct. 1)- The Saint Vincent women's soccer team earned a 5-0 road win at Bethany on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bearcats (8-1-1, 2-0-1 PAC) scored two goals in the first and three in the second half to cruise to the PAC victory.
Addie Fisher and
Emma Koller led Saint Vincent, scoring two goals each for the Bearcats.
Jordan Kirkwood added one goal and one assist, while
Madisen Geesaman and
Lexi Graham both picked up assists in the win as well for the Bearcats.
Rilyn Warner picked up the shutout victory in net for the Bearcats, making five saves.
It was a quick start for Saint Vincent as the Bearcats scored just 13 minutes into the game. Fisher scored on an assist from Kirkwood to put SVC up 1-0. Just under ten minutes later, Koller added her first of the two goals to double the Bearcats lead. That 2-0 lead would hold going into the half.
Just six minutes into the second half, Fisher scored her second goal of the game coming on an assist from Graham to put the Bearcats up 3-0. Koller added a goal in the 63rd minute and Kirkwood's goal came in the 72nd minute to solidify the win for the Bearcats.
Saint Vincent outshot Bethany 18-12, including 11-5 in shots on goal. Both teams recorded one corner kick and committed 13 fouls each.
The Bearcats return to action on Saturday, October 4 with a trip to Hiram to compete against the Terriers in a PAC matchup. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Hiram.
