WASHINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 15)- The Saint Vincent women's volleyball team fell 3-0 to Washington and Jefferson on the road on Wednesday night.
Saint Vincent fell by set scores of 25-23, 25-18, and 26-24.
Dakota Hershberger led Saint Vincent with 12 kills, while also adding two blocks.
Meegan Williams added 10 kills and
Bailey Green recorded 20 assists and 10 digs.
Madie Eagler added 11 assists, while
Brenna McCracken totaled 10 digs.
Lauren Fox added five kills and two blocks.
Both the Bearcats and Presidents recorded six service aces each in the match.
SVC battled back from a 20-12 deficit in the first set to make it close, but W&J closed out the set. Saint Vincent once again battled back in the third set, trying to extend the match, tying the set at 24-24. However W&J went on to score the final two points to win the set (26-24) and the match 3-0.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Saturday, October 18 with a road matchup at Grove City. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
