MEADVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 29)- The Saint Vincent men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw in their regular season finale at Allegheny on Wednesday night.
With the draw, the Bearcats lock up the number four seed in the PAC playoffs and will host their first ever home playoff game this Saturday, November 1.
Saint Vincent (11-3-5, 5-2-4 PAC) was out shot by the Gators (8-7-5, 6-3-2 PAC) by a margin of 16-11, including 8-4 in shots on goal. Senior goalie
Kameron Rock was strong in net, making eight saves for Saint Vincent, while posting the shutout in net.
Oziel Bonola-Soriano,
Bruno Hurtado,
Andrew Levush, and
Nick Johnson recorded SVC's four shots on goal in the tie.
Corner kicks were 7-5 in favor of the Gators in the draw.
The Bearcats will return to action this Saturday, November 1, hosting fifth seeded Geneva in the opening round of the PAC playoffs. The game will be played at UPMC Field on Saturday at a time to be determined.
