LATROBE, Pa. (Nov. 1)- The Saint Vincent women's soccer team took down Allegheny in double overtime by a final score of 1-0 in the Presidents Athletic Conference Quarterfinals on Saturday night.

Emma Koller scored the game-winning goal for SVC with just over one minute left in the second overtime period. Rilyn Warner made some key saves in net for SVC, posting the shutout, making 10 saves to help the Bearcats advance to the PAC semifinals.

In the win, Allegheny outshot Saint Vincent by a 17-15 margin, including 10-5 in shots on goal. Corner kicks were 6-3 in favor of the Gators as well.

After the first 90 minutes of play both teams generated plenty of scoring opportunities, but were unable to find the back of the net as the game headed to the first 10 minute overtime period.

In the first overtime, abut halfway through, Warner made a key save for the Bearcats to keep them alive and send them to the second overtime period. Just over eight minutes into the period, Koller gained the ball just outside the box and drove the ball into the top portion of the net to end the game and give the Bearcats the win.

Saint Vincent now advances to the PAC Semifinals for the second season in a row. The Bearcats will take on second seeded Waynesburg on Wednesday, November 5 on the road. The road semifinal matchup is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night at Waynesburg.
