TRAFFORD, Pa. (Nov. 4)- The Saint Vincent men's basketball team was picked second in the Presidents Athletic Conference South Division pre-season poll released by the conference earlier this morning.

Led by veteran Head Coach D.P. Harris, the Bearcats earned one first place vote in the poll. W&J was picked first in the division, receiving nine first place votes, while Chatham was picked just behind the Bearcats, receiving two first place votes.

Additionally, Maxwell Gordon, Jevontae Jones, and Dev Ostrowski were named to the players to watch list in the conference.

Ostrowski is coming off of a First Team All-PAC season. The senior guard averaged 16.1 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game helping lead the Bearcats to their second consecutive trip to the PAC Semifinals last season. 

Gordon ran the point for SVC last year, averaging just under eight points per game, while racking up 99 assists over the course of the season. 

Jones was also impressive for Saint Vincent a year ago. He averaged eight points per game, while also picking up five rebounds per game as well.

Saint Vincent is coming off of a season where they compiled an impressive 20-6 overall record, including going 16-4 in PAC play.

The Bearcats open up their season this Saturday, November 8 when they host Carlow. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday night in the Robert S. Carey Center.
