LATROBE, Pa. (March 10)- Saint Vincent College is pleased to welcome Ethan Anderson as the Defensive Backs Coach for the Bearcats.
Anderson brings a strong background in coaching and playing experience, having spent the last six seasons on the Carnegie Mellon University coaching staff, where he worked with the safeties. Â

Anderson mentored multiple all-conference selections and helped shape a defensive culture that emphasized technique, communication, and game intelligence.Â
Prior to coaching, Anderson was a standout defensive back for Carnegie Mellon, where he was a four-year member of the Tartans' secondary and served as a team captain his senior season. Known for his leadership on and off the field, he appeared in 41 games with 23 starts, compiling 144 tackles, including 104 solo stops, while recovering four fumbles and recording three interceptions. His ability to read the game and make key plays in crucial moments made him an integral part of the defense.Â
Anderson graduated from Carnegie Mellon in May 2019 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Alongside his coaching career, he has built a successful professional career as a Project Engineer at Rycon Construction, where he applies his problem-solving and leadership skills to the construction industry.Â
