ALTOONA, Pa. (Sept. 10)- The Saint Vincent men's soccer team earned a 2-1 victory at Penn State-Altoona after an 83rd minute game-winning goal from
Cameron Mulvanny.
With the game tied with just over six minutes to go, Mulvanny found the back of the net for Saint Vincent (5-1) and that was the difference maker to secure the Bearcats third consecutive win and fifth in their first six to open the season.
Daniel Maddock continued his strong freshman campaign adding yet another goal for the Bearcats in the win as well. Mulvanny picked up an assist on Maddock's goal.
Kameron Rock was strong in net for Saint Vincent once again, making seven saves, while allowing just the one goal.Â
Saint Vincent significantly out shot the Lions by a 23-11 margin, while they also led 11-8 in shots on goal. In addition to his goal, Maddock totaled six shots, including three on goal. Mulvanny added five shots with two being on goal.

Javier Tinoco, and
Antonio Mendes all recorded shots on goal for Saint Vincent.Â
After 15 minutes of scoreless play, Maddock got the Bearcats on the board, scoring on the assist from Mulvanny to put Saint Vincent up 1-0 in the match. A little over five minutes later, Altoona scored the equalizer to tie the game at 1-1.
That 1-1 tie would hold for the next 60 minutes of game play. That's when Mulvanny scored the game winner for SVC to keep their win streak alive.
Saint Vincent totaled five corner kicks in the win, while Mount Aloysius was blanked in that category over the course of the match.
The Bearcats return to action on Saturday, September 13 with a trip to Penn College for another non-conference matchup. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Williamsport, PA.
