LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 15)- The Saint Vincent women's tennis team earned a 4-3 home Presidents Athletic Conference victory against Westminster on Monday evening at the SVC Courts.

After losing the doubles point, SVC stormed back to win four of the six singles matches to earn their first PAC victory of the year.

Saint Vincent started the afternoon by earning a forfeit victory in the third doubles spot. However, the Titans took both number one and number two doubles and the Bearcats found themselves trailing 1-0.

The Bearcats opened singles with a forfeit victory in the sixth spot to tie the match at 1-1.

Carolina Walters answered with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory in the top singles spot to give SVC a 2-1 lead. Westminster followed by taking both second and third singles to take a 3-2 advantage. 

Sydney McWreath tied the match with a 6-3, 6-0 win in the five spot. Caroline O'Connor sealed the victory for the Bearcats with a 6-2, 7-5 victory after coming back from a 5-1 deficit in the second set.

Saint Vincent returns to action on Wednesday, September 17, hosting Grove City at the SVC Courts. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
