LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 16)- The Saint Vincent women's soccer team dominated La Roche in a 7-0 victory to conclude their 2025 non-conference slate of games.
The Bearcats improved to 6-1 in non-conference play after the dominant performance from start to finish on Tuesday night.
Saint Vincent didn't allow a single shot to the Red Hawks over the course of the 90 minutes, while they totaled 34 of their own, which included 19 shots on goal.
Lexi Graham led the way for SVC with two goals.
Natalie Helman and
Ashley Smith both added one goal and one assist each.
Kelsi Navin,
Giovanna Ferraro, and
Emma Koller all recorded one goal each in the victory as well.
SVC totaled 11 corner kicks, while La Roche didn't record one.
After a scoreless first 30 minutes, Graham got the scoring started with a goal in the 31st minute to put Saint Vincent up 1-0. Navin added a goal with four minutes left in the half on an assist from
Cori Bieber to double the Bearcats lead (2-0) going into the half.
Out of the half, the Saint Vincent offense dominated. Graham scored her second of the half to open the half and give SVC a 3-0 lead. Koller, Smith, Helman, and Ferraro all added goals in the final 30 minutes of the half to seal the deal for the Bearcats.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Wednesday, September 24 when they open up PAC play against Franciscan at home. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. under the lights at UPMC Field.
