LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 17)- The Saint Vincent men's soccer team took advantage of a late second half goal to lead them to a 1-1 draw against La Roche on Wednesday night at UPMC Field.
The Bearcats (6-1-1) who are off to one their best starts to a season in program history concluded non-conference play in style after a late second half goal from
Logan Kremposky tied the game at 1-1, leading the game to a draw.
Kremposky scored the goal in a game where Saint Vincent dominated in shots by a 12-5 clip and 8-2 in shots on goal.
Kameron Rock played all 90 minutes in net for Saint Vincent making one save, while allowing the lone goal as well.
La Roche scored just under 12 minutes into the game to quickly take a 1-0 lead. That 1-0 lead would hold for the majority of the game.
With less than two minutes left in the contest, Kremposky found the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1 and that 1-1 score would hold in the final minute and a half.
Saint Vincent will return to action on Tuesday, September 23 when they open up their Presidents Athletic Conference slate of games at home against Franciscan. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. under the lights at UPMC Field.
