BEREA, Ohio (May 9)- The Saint Vincent men's and women's track and field team's competed at the Harrison Dillard Invite, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University on Friday in Ohio.
On the men's side,
Shane Fawehinmi placed third in the qualifying section of the 100-meter dash, sprinting to a time of 11.17 seconds.
In the 1500-meter race,
Noah Channel raced a time of 4:02.10, finishing the event as the Bearcats top result. In the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles,
Leo Thomas placed 12th with a time of 1:01.55 for SVC.
In the field events,
Jalani Campbell recorded a mark of 12.21m to finish seventh for Saint Vincent.
On the women's side,
Madelyn Hopsicker picked up a fifth place finish in the 100-meter dash, sprinting to a time of 12.83 seconds.
Grace Neubert added a fourth place result for the Bearcats in the 1500-meter race, racing a time of 4:38.90.
Caroline Kozera finished ninth in the 400-meter hurdles, racing to a time of 1:08.93 for the Bearcats. The Bearcats 4x100 relay team concluded the event with a a fourth place result in a time of 51.05 seconds.
The Bearcats will now prepare for the AARTFC Outdoor Championships, which begin on Wednesday, May 13 at Ursinus College.
