LATROBE, Pa. (Aug. 21)- The Saint Vincent College Athletics Department and Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations are pleased to announce the 2026 induction class of the Saint Vincent College Athletics Hall of Fame.
 
The group of standouts consists of Zach Wilfong C'11 (men's lacrosse), Dr. Aldo Prosperi, Kristin Consuegra C'08 (women's volleyball), Peter Tulk (men's lacrosse), Erin Hermann C'08 (women's soccer), the 1990-91 men's basketball team, and the 2016 softball team.
 
The three former student-athletes, one head coach, one team doctor, and the two team's will be inducted on Oct. 24 and will be recognized on the field during halftime of that day's home football game against Geneva College at Chuck Noll Field.

Zach Wilfong C'11- Men's Lacrosse
Zach Wilfong is one of the most decorated players in the history of the Saint Vincent College men's lacrosse program.

As a senior in 2011, he became just the second player in team history to eclipse 200 career points and still ranks fifth all-time with 201.

His 81 career assists rank fourth in team history, and his 120 career goals are good for 10th. A three-year team captain for the Bearcats, Wilfong was the first player from Saint Vincent College ever selected to compete in the prestigious United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III North-South All-Star Game in 2011.

Wilfong graduated with a bachelor's degree in history in 2011. He began his coaching career with a three-year stint as an Assistant Coach at Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School. After his time at Pittsburgh Central Catholic, he went on to become an assistant coach at Ohio Northern University and Seton Hill University.

He received his first Head Coaching opportunity at the University of Pittsburgh, coaching the Panthers club lacrosse team. After Pitt, he was hired to be the Head Coach at La Roche University, where he helped lead the Red Hawks to their best start in 10 years.

After his time at La Roche, Wilfong was hired to be the Head Coach at his alma mater, Saint Vincent College. In his time with the Bearcats, he has compiled a 66-34 record, while qualifying for the PAC Playoffs in every single one of his years as head coach. Zach will be entering his seventh year as the Head Coach of the Bearcats men's lacrosse program in 2026-27.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, he and his wife Carly (Duffy) C'12 reside in Pittsburgh's North Hills with their daughters Emma and Olivia.

Dr. Aldo Prosperi
Dr. Aldo Prosperi, a 1976 graduate of Saint Vincent College, is a distinguished physician, dedicated alumnus, accomplished musician, and lifelong advocate for student-athletes. A graduate with the highest honors, Dr. Prosperi was a member of the Saint Vincent soccer program and also participated in the Seton Hill Wind Ensemble.

He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in 1980. While at Jefferson, he continued his passions for music and soccer as a member of the Thomas Jefferson University Orchestra and the Philadelphia Professional Schools Soccer League. His love of the game continued for decades, including his time with the Pittsburgh South Over-40 Premier League soccer team.

Dr. Prosperi's commitment to service has been a defining part of his career. As a volunteer with Jeff HOPE, he provided medical care to indigent individuals in Center City Philadelphia and helped educate and mentor Jefferson medical students as a preceptor.

Throughout his career, Dr. Prosperi has exemplified the values of Saint Vincent College through his commitment to service, athletics, education, music, and the well-being of others. His lasting impact on generations of Saint Vincent student-athletes and his lifelong dedication to the college make his induction into the Saint Vincent Athletics Hall of Fame a fitting and well-deserved honor.

His dedication to Saint Vincent College has remained strong throughout the years. Through his work as a physician at the Saint Vincent College Wellness Center and as team physician for the Saint Vincent men's basketball program, Dr. Prosperi has cared for and supported countless student-athletes, helping them pursue excellence both on and off the playing surface. He currently practices with Independence Health and Primary Care.

Beyond medicine and athletics, Dr. Prosperi continues to share his talents and passions with his community. He is a member of the Scottdale Jazz Band, where he plays saxophone, and remains an active member of the Saint Vincent College Parish.

Kristin Consuegra C'08- Women's Volleyball
Kristin Consuegra will go down as one of the top players in the Saint Vincent women's volleyball program history.

Kristin holds two individual single season records that still hold today within the program. She is the career program leader in aces (95), achieved in the 2007 season, while also leading the program in assists (1592), also achieved in 2007. She was also a four-year starter and three-year All-Conference player.

Kristin helped lead the Bearcats to back-to-back ECAC Division II Championships in 2006 and 2007, and the American Mideast Conference North Division title in 2005.
Consuegra graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication from Saint Vincent in 2008.

She currently is entering her fifth year as the Assistant Commissioner for Governance and Championships for the Presidents Athletic Conference, where she serves as the PAC's first Senior Woman Administrator (SWA).

With the PAC, Kristin assists the leagues commissioner and assistant commissioner in oversight of all daily operations of the league, while she also serves on both the NCAA Division II and III Women's Volleyball Rules Committee.

Prior to her time with the PAC, Consuegra served in roles worked as the program manager at All-American Field House in Monroeville. She has also worked as an office and facility manager with the Athlete Recovery Lounge by Sports Performance and Spine in Pittsburgh.

Consuegra also spent two years as a graduate assistant at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), where she received her master's degree and was the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Chatham University for two years as well.

A native of Mount Pleasant and graduate of Geibel Catholic, Consuegra and her husband Dan, a former Saint Vincent College baseball player, reside in Plum with their children: Tyson (16), Paxton (14) and Lucy (12).

Peter Tulk- Men's Lacrosse
Peter Tulk left an incredible mark on the Saint Vincent College men's lacrosse program, establishing himself as the winningest head coach in the program's history.

Tulk led the Bearcats men's lacrosse program for 19 seasons, serving as the head coach in two separate stints from 2000-2009 and then from 2012-2020.

The Bearcats finished .500 or better in 13 of Tulk's 19 seasons, including seven seasons with nine or more wins, while he coached each of the 21 100-point scorers in team history. During his initial 10-year tenure at SVC, Tulk guided the Bearcats to a 69-61 mark. In the 2000 season, his first behind the bench, the Bearcats went 9-4, establishing a new team record for wins in a season. His 2004 team equaled the 9-win mark, before the 2005 Bearcats finished 11-1.

The 2004 and 2005 squads were paced by the tandem of brothers Ian and Bryan Poole, who combined for 283 goals and 314 points. Both Poole brothers would go on to play professionally in British Columbia in the Western Lacrosse Association (WLA), while their SVC teammate, Rob Van Beek, enjoyed a lengthy professional career in both the WLA and the National Lacrosse League. 

After stepping down from his post following the 2009 season, Tulk returned as the Bearcats' head coach for the 2012 campaign, turning in a record of 71-61 during this second stint.  

In 2013, the Bearcats were edged in the finals of the first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament but would earn revenge a season later when they won the first conference title in program history with a 16-11 victory over Thiel College at Chuck Noll Field. 

Tulk led the Bearcats to the championship game of the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) in 2015, 2017 and 2018, and was selected the 2017 ORLC Coach of the Year. The 2018 squad was the most successful in team history, setting a team mark with 15 wins, including a 10-0 mark in regular season conference play. That team featured three of the top 20 scorers in program history, led by Jeremy Kennedy, who scored a school-record 243 points over his four-year career (2016-19). 

In 2019, the Bearcats finished 6-1 in PAC play, advancing to the conference quarterfinals, before Tulk's final team went 3-1 during the shortened 2020 season. 

Tulk graduated from Sir George Williams University in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Prior to his time at Saint Vincent, he was the Head Coach at Mount Lebanon High School (1987-1992) and Franklin Regional High School (1993-1999), where he led the Panthers to WASLA Championships in 1995, 1996, and 1999. He was also inducted into the Pittsburgh Chapter U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2001.

Tulk is married to his wife Cynthia with whom they have one daughter, Nadette. He also has two grandchildren Robert and Izabell and two great grandchildren, Layiona and Bobbie.

Erin Hermann C'08- Women's Soccer
Erin Hermann (Mannella) is a distinguished Saint Vincent College alumna, former Bearcat women's soccer standout, accomplished healthcare professional, and dedicated wife and mother whose impact extends well beyond the soccer field. A member of the Saint Vincent women's soccer program, Erin established herself as one of the most accomplished players in the history of the program.

During her Saint Vincent career, Erin was a dominant midfielder and a key contributor to the success of the Bearcats. In 2004, she recorded 15 assists, tying for the most assists in a single season in Saint Vincent women's soccer history. She followed that performance with another outstanding season in 2005, scoring six goals and adding 10 assists while playing nearly every minute of every game. Her exceptional 2005 season helped lead Saint Vincent to a then-school-record 11 victories and earned her NAIA All-American honors.

Erin was recognized as a Second Team All-Conference selection in both 2004 and 2005, further establishing herself among the premier players in the program. She was also recognized with Coaches Honors in 2007. Her contributions came during an important era for Saint Vincent women's soccer, as the program consistently competed at a high level under head coach Keith Harmon.

Off the field, Erin excelled academically. She graduated cum laude from Saint Vincent College with a bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She went on to earn a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lock Haven University. She is a licensed and board-certified Physician Assistant practicing in Pennsylvania.

Erin began her medical career in Pulmonary and Critical Care as a Physician Assistant from 2010 to 2011 before moving into urgent care, where she has practiced from 2011 through 2026. Beginning in November 2026, she will join Partners in Health in Primary Care, continuing her commitment to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients.

Saint Vincent has remained an important part of Erin's life well beyond her playing days. Her connection to the college is also a family tradition. Her husband, Michael Hermann, was a former Saint Vincent baseball player. Her twin sister, Nicole Hasson, also played Saint Vincent women's soccer during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Nicole was one of the most prolific offensive players in program history, recording 47 points in 2004 and 37 in 2005, including 19 goals in 2004 and 14 in 2005.

Erin and Michael are the proud parents of two sons, Jaxon, 10, and Brayden, 7. She is the daughter of Linda Mannella and Victor Mannella.

1990-91 Men's Basketball Team
Under the guidance of Head Coach Bernie Matthews, the 1990-91 Saint Vincent men's basketball team had one of the most successful seasons in the program's history.

The 1990-91 team became the first team in the program's history to advance to the NAIA National Tournament.

Led by Matthews, Saint Vincent compiled a 20-7 overall record, marking just the third 20-win campaign in the program's history at the time. Saint Vincent won the District 18 Title and Matthews was named the District 18 Coach of the Year for the second time in his career.

Mike Kozy, Jack Brown, Brad Wetzel, John Richards, and Bob Saveikis played in all 27 games for the Bearcats during the 90-91 campaign. Brown led the team with 387 points (14.3 PPG), while Saveikis led the team with 281 rebounds.

Richards recorded a team-best 48 blocks, while Wetzel averaged 12.5 points per game and Kozy averaged 9.8 points per game. Warner Johnson, the current Director of Alumni at Saint Vincent College was also a member of the historic team.

2016 Softball Team
Under the guidance of Head Coach Nicole Karr, the 2016 softball team will go down as the top team in the program's history to date.

Karr helped lead the Bearcats to their first ever PAC Tournament Championship, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program's history. Coach Karr was named the PAC's Coach of the Year as well.

In the NCAA Tournament, the Bearcats upset the number one ranked team in the country, Virginia Wesleyan College, which stands as Saint Vincent's only NCAA Tournament victory to date.

The team recorded a 29-15 overall record, which set a single season record for victories for the program, which still stands to this day. Shelby Noel and Samantha Emert were named NFCA All-Region selections, becoming just the third and fourth players to do so in the program's history at the time.

Noel sits in the top-five of multiple single season records after her impressive 2016 campaign. She recorded a .456 batting average (top-5 in program history), 62 hits (most in program history), 38 runs scored (3^rd in program history), nine homeruns (3^rd in program history), and 41 RBI's (2^nd in program history).

Emert was equally impressive for the Bearcats in the circle. She pitched 23 complete games, earned 18 wins, and pitched eight shutouts, which all still stand as single-season program records. Emert also struck out 118 batters and recorded a 1.11 ERA, which both still ranked second in program history. She was named the PAC Player of the year for 2016.

Sarah Swettlen, Emily Duerr, Kelsey Hunter, and Morgan Murphy, along with Emert and Noel all earned All-Conference honors.
