DOVER, Ohio (Sept. 7)- The Saint Vincent men's golf team finished tied for fourth place at The College of Wooster Gatorade Collegiate Invitational.

Over the course of the two round tournament, the Bearcats shot a total score of 291 on Saturday and followed that up with a total score of 300.

Matt Edwards was Saint Vincent's top finisher, finishing tied for seventh in the over 60-golfer field. In the opening round, Edwards carded a 74 (+2), recording three birdies and an eagle. He followed that up with an impressive 70 (-2) with three birdies and 14 pars.

Logan Clark finished tied for tenth at the event for Saint Vincent. He carded an opening round 71 (-1), recording three birdies and an eagle. He followed that up with a second round 74 (+2) with two birdies and 12 pars.

Owen Dzurko finished 14th for the Bearcats. He shot an impressive 68 (-4) in the opening round with six birdies, before shooting a 78 (+6) with two birdies and nine pars in round two.

Evan Bower and David Newsom both finished tied for 44th. Bower recorded a 78 with a birdie and 10 pars in the opening round and followed that up with another round of 78, recording three birdies in round two. Newsom carded a 78 in round one as well, recording two birdies, before shooting another 78 in round two with four birdies.

Mount Aloysius won the event as team, shooting a team total of 284 in round one and a 296 in round two. Rafa Tanjung won the individual medalist honors, shooting three under over the course of the two rounds.

The Bearcats will return to action next Monday, September 14 as they host their annual home invitational at historic Latrobe Country Club. Tee times begin at 11 a.m. next Monday in Latrobe.
