TRAFFORD, Pa. (Sept. 8)- Saint Vincent freshman women's golfer Rylee Gage earned the Presidents Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week honor on the women's side, while senior Matt Edwards earned the PAC Men's Golfer of the Week honor on the men's side.

Gage recorded rounds of 88 and 87 to finish tied for 44th at the Division II California (Pa.) Invitational. The freshman was consistent over the 36 holes, as she recorded 13 pars en route to being the Bearcats' top finisher at the tournament.

Edwards was Saint Vincent's top finisher at the Wooster Gatorade Collegiate Classic, finishing tied for seventh in the over 60-golfer field. In the opening round, Edwards carded a 74 (+2), recording three birdies and an eagle. He followed that with an impressive two-under, 70 with three birdies and 14 pars.

The Bearcats women's team returns to action on Saturday, September 12 as they travel to compete in the Thiel College Invitational at Avalon at Buhl Park Golf Course. Tee times are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Sharon, Pa. The men's team returns to action on Monday, September 14 as they host their home Invitational at Historic Latrobe Country Club. Tee times are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
