LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 8)- The Saint Vincent women's tennis team was defeated by Saint Francis by a score of 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the SVC Courts.
Saint Francis (1-0, 0-0 PAC) picked up wins in all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point, before handing the Bearcats (0-2, 0-0 PAC) in singles play as well.
In doubles play both Sydeny McWreath and
Ashley Thiel (#2 doubles) along with
Cloie Causer and
Kaylee Overly (#3 doubles) were both handed 1-6 losses. In singles play,
Sofia Tehrani played the Bearcats closest match, falling 2-6, 1-6 in number six singles.
The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, September 15, hosting Carlow in a non-conference matchup. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at the SVC Courts.
