Saint Vincent College

2021: Appeared in 24 games with 17 starts as a graduate student. Tallied nine hits, five runs, two doubles and eight RBI on the season. Pitched in 10 games, starting nine. Struck out 18 batters. On March 23, pitched 6.2 innings and yielded just six hits with no runs against Waynesburg but lost 3-2. Member of the PAC Academic Honor Roll.

2019:  Named All-PAC Second Team, leading the team in ERA (3.53).  Pitched in 11 games, with 10 starts.  Threw 2 complete games, had one shutout and one save, along with a 6-3 record.  Threw a 7-hit shutout against Chatham on March 24, and threw 6 scoreless innings against Westminster on April 24.  On May 4, yielded just 5 hits and struck out 10 against nationally ranked Washington & Jefferson, but lost 1-0.  Recorded the final out in relief against Thomas More University on April 13, for his first collegiate save.  

2018: Earned First Team All-PAC honors as he served as the staff ace during his sophomore season. He led the PAC in innings pitched (79.0) and ranked fourth in the league with five wins. He was also fourth in opposing batting average (.252), fifth in strikeouts (46) and ranked second in the league in pickoffs (4). He put together a magnificent outing against Washington & Jefferson in the PAC Tournament, tossing a 110-pitch complete game effort in a 4-2 upset win over the Presidents. He scattered 10 hits, while striking out two and walking none. For that effort, Malone was named to the All-PAC Tournament Team. Tossed eight scoreless innings in a 5-0 win over NCAA qualifier Castleton University on March 17. He was also named PAC Pitcher of the Week back in March. 

2017: Named Second Team All-PAC as a freshman, becoming the first SVC freshman pitcher to gain All-PAC accolades. Made an immediate impact for the Bearcats during his freshman season with the team. The Connellsville, Pa. native tallied a team-high five wins on the mound and put together a 3.62 Earned Run Average (ERA) in nine appearances (eight starts). Recorded league wins over Geneva, Bethany, Thiel and tossed a complete game victory against Thomas More on March 25, allowing just one earned run against the Saints. Malone worked 49.2 innings, striking out 24 and walking 18. Named PAC Rookie of the Week on March 20. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-sport athlete at Connellsville High School, competing in baseball and golf for the Falcons. Earned First-Team All-Section honors as a senior and Second-Team All-Section accolades as a junior. Two-time Roger Miller Award winner. National Honor Society member. 

PERSONAL: Son of John and Lori Malone. Majoring in business at SVC.
