Graduate of Elk County Catholic High School in Saint Mary's, Pa... three-sport athlete at Elk County, competing in basketball, cross country, and track and field... in basketball he was named Third Team All-State, was a District 9 and 10 All Star, a Big 30 All Star, and helped lead his team to a District 9 championship in 2022 and 2023, while also being a member of the final four team in 2022... in cross country he helped lead his team to a district runner up finish in 2022, a third place finish in 2021, and competed in the state meet in 2022... under head coach Weej Fernan he was a member of the 4x8 relay team that placed third in District 9 in 2021 and placed 8th overall in the 1600-meter race in 2022 at the District 9 meet... academically, he was named 2023 Kreckel Enterprises Student of the Year, a member of the honor roll all four years, Rotary Student of the Month, and Male Student-Athlete of the Year in 2023... son of Peter and Amy Straub... majoring in business finance.
