2017: Named Second Team All-PAC for a second straight season. Made 32 starts during the season. Led the Bearcats in home runs (6), doubles (10), RBI (35), total bases (61) and was tops in slugging percentage (.555) among the regular starters. Finished 2017 with a .300 batting average and was second on the team in hits (33). In limited fielding duties, Martin put together a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. The lefty collected two saves while making seven appearances on the mound. Martin ranked among the Top 10 in the PAC in both home runs and RBI. Member of the PAC Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2016: Earned Second Team All-PAC honors as utility player. Martin was selected All-PAC for the first time, having success as a two-way player as a sophomore. The lefty was lauded at the utility spot after serving as the Bearcats' every day designated hitter and batting out of the cleanup spot. He also served as the Bearcats' closer out of the bullpen. The Irwin, Pa. native hit .330 and posted a team-best .471 on-base percentage. He racked up a team-best 10 doubles and also walked a team-high 23 times. While toeing the rubber, Martin set a new single-season save record with seven. Martin also posted a team-best 1.96 earned run average (ERA) and allowed just five runs over 23 innings. He was named PAC Pitcher of the Week on March 28.
2015: Did not play due to injury.
2014: At the plate, appeared in 25 games with 22 starts. Batted .277 with 6 doubles, 11 runs scored and 11 RBI. Had a .415 on base percentage with 14 walks. On the mound, appeared in 12 games with six starts, posting one combined shutout and one complete game. Had a record of 1-4, pitching 39.1 innings.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named 2nd Team All-Section at a designated hitter in 2012 as a junior. Named 1st Team All-Section at first base in 2013 at Hempfield Area HS.
PERSONAL: Son of Dennis and Sue Martin, majoring in accounting.
