Biography

2019:  Played in 35 games, starting 33.  Batted .290 with 38 hits, including four doubles and a home run.  Scored 25 runs.  Had 12 multi-hit games.  Reached 100 career hits in the May 4 game against Washington & Jefferson.  Hit first collegiate home run against Bethany College on April 3.

2018: Appeared and started 34 contests as a sophomore. Compiled a .285 batting average, going 37-130 at the plate. Led the team in runs scored (34) and stolen bases (10). Walked 12 times and was hit by a pitch 13 times. Added 13 RBI and six doubles. 

2017: Appeared in 30 games, 28 of which were starts during his freshman season. Scored 19 runs and tallied seven RBI. Tallied five multi-hit games, including a three-hit performance at Waynesburg on April 21. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  Competed in baseball, basketball and football at Saltsburg HS.  Earned All-Conference honors in baseball and football.  Was named to the Indian Student Athlete Hall of Fame.

PERSONAL:  Son of Jack and Kelly Yard, majoring in Engineering Science at SVC.
