The Bearcats claimed four straight Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament Championships (2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016), a feat that had not been accomplished by any program since the early 1990s.

In addition to his coaching duties, Harris also served as the Associate Athletic Director/Athletic Development Officer to aid fundraising efforts.

A graduate of Saint Vincent, he was inducted into the college's Athletic Hall of Fame in October of 2014.

4894Known for his ability to recruit and a work ethic among the coaching fraternity as "relentless," he knows the meaning of hard work. "It's simple to me as a coach; you show up, and you don't leave until the work is done and done right. If it means showing up at 4AM and working through lunch, then so be it."  The Bearcats, assisted and coached by Harris, went to ten National Tournaments, including two Elite Eights, and two Sweet Sixteen appearances. They also played in ten Conference Championships. "The players win games, and if you get guys that want to work and are coachable, the program will be successful."

Harris has seen seven of his players earn a total of ten All-American honors, while 10 players, including Tony Washam, Kenny Roberts, Jeff Mallory, Felix Indaye, Billy Bains, Rob Husar, Mike Medved and BJ McGill, have gone on to professional careers in Europe. Isaac Turner and Dillon Stith both have gone on to play professionally in Australia.

Harris was also very active in both the Saint Vincent Community and the surrounding area of Latrobe.  He served with the Institutional Advancement Office for nearly a decade, assisting the college's fundraising efforts.  He has also been a member and strong supporter of the Latrobe Rotary Club, and was awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship Award in 2008.

Additionally, Harris and the Bearcat players have assisted the local community regularly, working yearly on the Rotary Park Cleanup projects, working with the Salvation Army at Christmas time and more.

In 2012, Coach Harris served as the Chairperson for the Coaches Vs. Cancer Golf Event, held at the Latrobe County Club, to benefit the Hoops And Whistles organization.
