Dan Stoner

With coaching experience at the NAIA, NCAA Division II, and III level, Dan Stoner enters his Third season as an assistant at Saint Vincent College for the 2025-26 campaign.
 
Returning to his alma mater for the 2023-24 season, the Bearcats posted a 23-5 record which included a program record, 17 wins in a row. Saint Vincent advanced to the PAC Championship Game vs the Geneva Golden Tornadoes. The Bearcats had 3 players named to All-PAC Teams: Jaden Gales, Dev Ostrowski, and Mike Iuzzolino, including the PAC Player of the year in Sophomore Forward Jaden Gales. 
 
For the 2025-2026 season, the Bearcats completed the season with a 20-6 record and the #2 overall seed in the PAC Tournament for the second straight season. Saint Vincent Advanced to the PAC Semi-Finals vs the Washington & Jefferson Presidents. The Bearcats had 3 players named to All-PAC Teams: Dev Ostrowski, Mike Iuzzolino, and Osyon Jones. 
Stoner served as a student assistant due to injury for two seasons at Saint Vincent from 2017-2019. In two years as a student assistant, Saint Vincent posted a combined 38-10 overall record and captured the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) regular-season title in the 2018-19 campaign. Stoner returned from injury to play the 2019-20 campaign at Saint Vincent, which advanced to the semifinals of the PAC Tournament. He also was featured on the PAC Academic Honor Roll.
 
The following year, Stoner reunited with DP Harris as a graduate assistant intern at NAIA-member Saint Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Florida. The Bobcats advanced to the 2021 Sun Conference Tournament (SCT) Championship, losing in the final seconds, to finish the year with a 14-11 overall record.
 
Following his graduation from Saint Vincent, Stoner served as a graduate assistant at California University of Pennsylvania. During those two season, the Vulcans posted a combined record of 39-24. During the 2021-22 season, Cal made its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2008 and advanced to the NCAA Atlantic Region Championship before finishing the year with 23 victories. Cal also featured one of the top scoring offenses in the PSAC averaging 81.3 and boasted one of the most electrifying players in the country in forward Philip Alston, who led the PSAC in both scoring and rebounding. Alston was named a D2CCA All-American and was a top 25 finalist for the Bevo Francis Award.
 
During his time at Cal-U, the Vulcans featured multiple All-PSAC West selections (Zyan Collins, Brent Pegram, Jermaine Hall) including a first-team honoree in both seasons; (Phil Alston 21-22 and Keith Palek 22-23).
A native of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Stoner earned a master’s degree in 2023 from California University of Pennsylvania in Sports Administration (specializing in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration), and a certificate in Sports Psychology. In 2021 he graduated from Saint Vincent College with a bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in communication.
