After a successful four-year run as a player, Jasmine Weems joined the women’s basketball coaching staff for the 2017-18 season.
During her time as a player, Weems was known for her leadership and hard-nosed play. A native of Prince Frederick, Md., she appeared in 106 games and made 74 career starts for the Green and Gold.
Statistically, Weems totaled 920 points, 379 rebounds, 317 assists and 145 steals during her four years with the program. She garnered All-PAC honors during her senior season, by leading the Bearcats in points per game (13.0), made field goals (125) and made three-pointers (51). She ranked second in the PAC in assists per game.
During the 2016-17 season, she was named DeSales University Tournament Most Valuable Player after totaling 40 points as the Bearcats earned the championship in the event.
Weems earned her undergraduate degree from Saint Vincent in May of 2017.
