The Bearcat men's soccer team earned its first Presidents' Athletic Conference victory by downing Waynesburg University 1-0.

Kyle Thompson scored the game's lone goal just four minutes into play, off an assist from Elom Pedanou.

In the game's 34th minute, a Waynesburg forward picked up his second yellow card of the game, forcing the visitors to play one man down for the remainder of the game, and they were unable to generate offense.

On the day, SVC outshot the Yellow Jackets by a 25-7 margin.  Thompson led SVC with 10 shots, six on goal.

Jake Gilbertson picked up the win in goal, posting three saves.

Saint Vincent is now 1-2 in the PAC, 3-10-2 overall.  With the loss, Waynesburg drops to 0-4 in the conference, 5-9-1 overall.

The Bearcats will be back in action on Saturday, hosting Westminster College at 3PM.
