Frostburg State scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of the second half to defeat the Bearcats 2-0 under the lights in Maryland.
The game remained scoreless for 79 minutes, until FSU's Michael Bistany scored on a direct free kick from 30 yards out. The Bobcats ended the scoring with just 24 seconds left in regulation, with Toby Schaffner scoring on a cross in front of the net to make the score 2-0.
For the game, the Bearcats had difficulty mounting much offense, as Frostburg owned a 15-6 advantage in shots.
Jacob Gilbertson made four saves in goal for SVC in the losing effort.
The loss drops SVC's record 2-9-2. The Bearcats will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Thiel College for a 3pm game to be played at Mercer High School.
