The Bearcat offense continued to struggle, as SVC was handed a 5-0 loss at Carnegie Mellon, ranked 11th nationally.
Carnegie Mellon jumped out to a 2-0 lead at halftime, before scoring three goals over the final 35 minutes of the match to give the Bearcats their third straight loss.

Jake Gilbertson made a career-high 13 saves in 55 minutes of action in the losing effort.
The game was scoreless for the first 35 minutes, before CMU scored twice in a two-minute span, on goals by Joey Paladino and Max Tassano.
The 2-0 score held up until the 55th minute, when the Tartans again used a quick strike offense, with Brett Roller and Brad Edleman scoring just 40 seconds apart. Paladino scored his second goal of the afternoon with three minutes left in regulation, knocking home a header off of a cross.
The Bearcats (0-3) will return to action on Wednesday for their home opener, hosting Juniata College at 4pm on the SVC Turf.
