The Saint Vincent Bearcat men's soccer team lost to visiting Thomas More College by a score of 4-0 on the SVC Turf.
Neither team was able to score through the first 30 minutes, but in the 33rd minute, Alec Robbins set up Alex Oeswein for a goal that proved to be all the Saints would need.
They added an insurance goal in the second half, when Robbins scored an unassisted tally after a turnover in the SVC defensive end in the 62nd minute. Jacob Plummer then scored in the 81st minute to make the score 3-0, and the Saints added a goal late in the game on a penalty kick by Nick Brohas.
On the day, TMC out-shot Saint Vincent by a 23-6 margin. SVC's nearly converted on a direct kick by
Gage Arnold in the first half that caught the crossbar from 40 yards out, while
Daniel Moore's header was saved by Thomas More goalie Zack Lawson late in the second half to preserve the shutout.
With the win, Thomas More improves to 11-1-1 overall, 5-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference. The Bearcats fall to 3-11-1, 2-4 in the PAC.
Saint Vincent will close out the home portion of the schedule on Saturday, hosting Thiel College at 1:00.
