The Bearcats ended their 2011 season with a tough 2-1 loss at the hands of Grove City College on the road in conference action.

The Wolverines scored late in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into the break, then added a second goal 15 minutes into the second half.

SVC never gave up, keeping the ball in the offensive end much of the game's final 15 minutes.  The Bearcats managed to cut the lead in half when Gage Arnold took a direct kick from 30 yards out, sent it into the box where Brody Ruffner headed it into the net to make the score 2-1.

The visitors had another scoring opportunity late in the game but a shot sailed wide, and the Bearcats had to settle for the loss.

With the loss, SVC finished at 3-5 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, and will not make the playoffs.  The senior trio of Jake Gilbertson, Dean Jordan and Christian Ricci therefore ended their playing careers at Saint Vincent.
