The Saint Vincent men's soccer team notched its first Presidents' Athletic Conference win of the season, defeating Washington & Jefferson in overtime, 2-1, on the SVC Turf.

At the 93:28-mark, junior Anthony Balistreri netted the unassisted game-winner for the Bearcats.

The Bearcats struck first on the afternoon when junior Clemente Mejia scored at the 11:05-mark to give Saint Vincent the 1-0 edge.

W&J knotted the game, 1-1, at the 58:40-mark on a goal from Ryan Suess.

The Bearcats just missed a chance to take the lead with time winding down in regulation when junior Gage Arnold hit the post.

The Presidents outshot the Bearcats, 22-11, and had 11 shots on the net compared to Saint Vincent's three. Senior keeper Jake Gilbertson made 10 saves on the afternoon.

With the win Saint Vincent improves to 2-9-1 on the season, 1-2 in the PAC. W&J falls to 4-7, 1-2 in the PAC, with the loss.

The Bearcats return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 12, when they travel to Waynesburg University. The match begins at 8:15 pm.
