Behind four points each from Will DeLanoy and Nick Pensyl, the Bearcats earned a 9-4 victory on the road over Washington & Jefferson College.

Scoring was kept to a minimum on a day that featured 40 degree temperatures and occasional sleet throughout the game.

Nearly eight minutes into play, W&J's Joseph Eck scored to give the hosts the lead, but SVC came back three minutes later, with DeLanoy setting up Pensyl's first goal of the game.  Just over a minute later, Alex Langton scored, assisted by Pensyl, and it would prove to be a lead that the Bearcats would never relinquish.

The second quarter belonged to SVC, as they stretched the lead to 5-1 thanks to goals from Pensyl, Zach Clark and Matt Mackey.

After an Anthony Altieri goal made it 6-1 less than a minute into the third, the Presidents managed to get a goal back, but Mike Diggs scored less than a minute later to make the score 7-2.

Pensyl and DeLanoy scored early in the fourth quarter before the hosts tallied a couple of late goals, but the game was out of reach.

Adam Gunter made ten saves to earn the win in the net, with Eugene Jones providing some help in relief.

SVC held a 43-30 edge in shots for the day and also won 10 of 16 faceoffs.  The Bearcats scored twice in five extra-man opportunities, but perhaps more importantly were only called for one penalty on the day.

The Bearcats (2-7) return to action on Saturday, traveling to Greenville for a 1PM game at Thiel College.
