The Bearcat softball team dropped a doubleheader in the rain at Pitt-Greensburg by scores of 1-0 and 9-1 in non-conference play.

The Bobcats scored in the bottom of the first inning of game one. After a one-out double by Danielle Straub, a groundout moved the runner to third, and a wild pitch brought home the game's first run. 

In the bottom of the second, heavy rain caused a delay, and once play resumed, neither team was able to score, allowing the one-run lead to hold up.  Alyssa Grossman took the hard-luck loss, going the distance, giving up just four hits, while striking out two.  SVC was held to five hits, including two by Maria Adams. 

In game two, the Bearcats managed just four hits, falling by a score of 9-1.  Shauna Hetrick took the loss in the circle.
