The Geneva Golden Tornadoes fired 28 shots at the Bearcat defense, pulling away to a 3-1 win in Presidents' Athletic Conference play.
SVC took the game's first shot, at 3:34 into play, and
Brody Ruffner found the back of the net with that shot for an unassisted goal that gave the visiting Bearcats a 1-0 lead.
Geneva then took over, eventually out-shooting the Bearcats by a 17-5 margin in the first half, and 28-12 for the game.
They tied the score with a goal in the 16th minute, then added a go-ahead tally with less than two minutes remaining in the first half.
The hosts then added an insurance goal less than 10 minutes into the second half to secure the 3-1 win.
Saint Vincent is now 3-12 overall, 1-4 in the PAC. Geneva improves to 7-7-2 overall, 3-3 in the conference.
