The Saint Vincent men's soccer team was tied with Penn State-Behrend at halftime, but the guests scored two second-half goals to earn a 3-1 win in a non-conference match on the SVC Turf.
The Lions (6-2-1) were strong in the early going, tallying a goal eight minutes into play. A shot caromed off a Bearcat defender, caught the inside of the left post, then bounced and spun into the lower right corner of the net.
Later in the half, SVC had a strong rush on offense, and
Scott Luthy was tripped inside the 18 yard box, resulting in a penalty kick.
Brody Ruffner scored on the PK to tie the game, and the teams went into the break even, 1-1.
However, Behrend scored in the 54th minute to reclaim the lead and added an insurance goal in the closing minutes.
Saint Vincent (2-7) tallied 10 shots on the day, compared to 20 for the Lions.
Eric Houghton made 5 saves in the net.
