The Saint Vincent men's soccer team held a 3-0 lead over Pitt-Bradford on the road, but five unanswered goals, including two in the final six minutes, lifted UPB to a 5-3 win in non-conference play.
Kevin Proctor scored off a direct kick just under 20 minutes into the game to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead. Twenty minutes later, Brody Ruffner tallied a goal off an assist from Domenico di Cola, and SVC took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
In the game's 60th minute, Proctor found the corner of the net for his second goal of the game and fourth of the season, to make it 4-0. di Cola again recorded the assist.
However, four minutes later, UPB's Alessandro Ortiz got the hosts on the board with a shot from 25 yards out.
Five minutes after that, Nicholas Walker split two defenders and scored from 20 yards out to make it a one-goal game.
In the 75th minute, Bradford completed the comeback, tying the game on a goal from Seth Levy.
With six minutes remaining, Colton Bly scored off a deflection to give the hosts a 4-3 lead, and they added an insurance goal with 3:30 to go.
Saint Vincent held a 22-16 edge on the day in shots, led by Proctor with four. Five Bearcats tallied three shots each.
Eric Houghton made four saves in the net and took the loss.
Saint Vincent is now 1-3 on the season and will next face Franciscan University of Steubenville on Sunday afternoon.
