BOX SCOREPHOTO GALLERYLATROBE, Pa. (Oct. 21) - The Saint Vincent men's soccer team surrendered two late goals as Geneva earned a 2-0 victory in Presidents' Athletic Conference play.
Facing tough weather conditions, both teams struggled to muster anything offensively in the first half. The visiting Golden Tornadoes offense finally struck in the latter stages of the second half. Sean Bernardi scored off an assist from Zach Lehman in the 79th minute and the GT's added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute to put the contest out of reach.
SVC was outshot by Geneva 16-to-5 in the contest. Junior

Scott Luthy were the only Bearcats to register double digit shot attempts. SVC did not have a shot on goal in the contest. Freshman goalkeeper
Sam Hayward stopped six shots in the loss.
With the loss, SVC fell to 5-12 overall and 1-4 in PAC play. Geneva improved to 9-4-3 overall and 4-1-1 in conference action.
The Bearcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 25 when they travel to Bethany College for another PAC contest. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
