BOX SCOREPHOTO GALLERYLATROBE, Pa. (Oct. 8) - Despite holding a 27-to-13 shot advantage, the Saint Vincent men's soccer team lost 1-0 to visiting W&J in the Presidents' Athletic Conference opener for the Bearcats.
The Presidents (5-6-0, 1-1-0) got the only goal of the contest when Justin Nolfi lofted the ball over Saint Vincent goalkeeper
Eric Houghton's head in the 31st minute of the contest. Saint Vincent had several quality opportunities to draw even but could not find the back of the net. Saint Vincent registered double digit shots in each half, totaling 11 in the first half and 16 in the second half, respectively. SVC also held an 8-to-3 advantage in corner kicks.Â

Kenan Ruffner each tallied four shots apiece for SVC to help pace the offense. Houghton played all 90 minutes in net and stopped six shots.Â
SVC returns to action when they host Westminster on Saturday, Oct. 11. The match will serve as Senior Day for the Bearcats. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.Â
