SVC falls to Ohio Wesleyan, 14-4

BOX SCORE

The Saint Vincent men's lacrosse team lost a road contest at Ohio Wesleyan University by a score of 14-4.

Bryce Pasquariello, Tim Oxenreiter, Sean Kretovics and Nick Pensyl each scored for Saint Vincent (0-2).

The hosts took control of the game right from the start, scoring just under two minutes into play, then increasing the lead to 4-0 by the end of the first quarter.  Down 5-0 in the second, Pensyl scored, assisted by Steven Cosgrove, to make the score 5-1, but the next five goals would once again belong to OWU.

Oxenreiter's goal, assisted by Matt Mackey, made it 10-2 at the half.

Kretovics added a man-up goal, assisted by Oxenreiter, early in the third, and Mackey's second helper of the day set up Pasquariello later in the quarter, but SVC was shut out in the fourth.

Greg Gonzalez made his first collegiate start in the net for SVC and took the loss, making 11 saves.  Ohio Wesleyan out-shot Saint Vincent 52-21 on the afternoon.

SVC returns to action at King's College on Wednesday, March 5 at 4PM.
