La Roche got a pair of goals from Aaron Lagnese off assists from Tyler Balzer to jump out to a 2-0 lead 19 minutes into the contest. The Redhawks (4-2) added a third goal when Tyler Grebur scored off a rebound to make it 3-0 La Roche just seconds before halftime. Eric Houghton played all 90 minutes and recorded six saves in net for SVC. La Roche held an 18-to-13 shot advantage in the contest.
Saint Vincent returns to action when they host Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
