BOX SCOREPHOTO GALLERYLATROBE, Pa. (April 11) - The Saint Vincent men's lacrosse team dropped a 6-3 decision to Transylvania University in Ohio River Lacrosse Conference action.
Transylvania scored three straight goals in the third quarter to break a halftime tie and held on for the victory. SVC dropped to 4-6 overall and 2-1 in the ORLC. The visiting Pioneers improved to 6-6 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
Senior
Nick Pensyl scored all three of the Bearcats goals in the contest. Fellow senior
Bryce Pasquariello chipped in an assist for the SVC offense. Junior goalkeeper
Greg Gonzalez made nine saves in 60 minutes of action.
The Bearcats took the loss despite outshooting the Pioneers 34-27 and committing 10 less turnovers (21-11) than the visitors from Kentucky.
Saint Vincent returns to action when they travel to Bethany (W. Va.) for a night contest on Tuesday, April 14. Start time is slated for 7 p.m. in West Virginia.
