The SVC women's soccer team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup at home to Grove City College by a score of 3-0.
It was an even game through the first 17 minutes, before Grove City had its first corner kick opportunity of the day. Â Jordyn White sent the ball into the box, and Lindsay Hutton headed it past the Bearcat keeper for a 1-0 Wolverine lead.
Just over 90 seconds later, Ruby Mattson scored off an assist from Krista Heckman to double the lead.
Late in the second half, Elizabeth Donohue made it a 3-0 game with a score off a low cross into the box by Claire Kocur.
Melissa McCarthy took the loss in the net, making 4 first-half saves. Â
Corinne Burk played the second half and tallied 3 saves. Â
Grove City outshot the Bearcats 15-7 on the day, also holding a 10-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The Wolverines are now 11-3 on the year, while the Bearcats fall to 2-6-5.
