GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 15) - The Saint Vincent volleyball team suffered a 3-1 road loss at Grove City in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup.
The Wolverines took the first game with a 25-20 score. SVC responded in the second set, winning by a 25-22 margin. However, the host Wolverines claimed the third set 25-17 and the fourth set by a 25-22 score.
SVC was led by sophomore
Marisa O'Dell, who totaled a team-best nine kills, while also adding 22 assists and 19 digs in the loss.
Kayla Stockenus,
Sarah Wozniak and
Courtney Meyer each added eight kills for SVC.
Emily Vaughan chipped in 15 digs on the defensive side of things.
Grove City was led by Laura Buchanan and Jamie Robatisin, who combined to total 27 kills.
The Bearcats drop to 3-9 in PAC play and 10-16 overall. With the win, Grove City improved to 7-6 in league play and 10-15 overall for the season.
Saint Vincent travels to Thomas More for a matchup with the Saints on Monday, Oct. 17. Start time in Crestview Hills, Ky. is slated for 6 p.m.
