SVC volleyball swept at Thomas More


CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (Oct. 17) - The Saint Vincent volleyball team fell 3-0 to Thomas More in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match in Kentucky.

The PAC co-leading Saints bested the Bearcats with set scores of 25-9, 25-13 and 25-16. 

Freshman middle hitter Sarah Wozniak led the Bearcats, tallying a team-high seven kills while committing no attack errors, compiling a .500 attack percentage in the match.

Junior Courtney Meyer picked up a team-best 12 digs, while senior Emily Vaughan added 11. Sophomore setter Marisa O'Dell tallied 15 assists in the loss. 

The loss drops SVC to 3-10 in the PAC and 10-17 overall. Thomas More improved to 16-8 overall and 12-1 in the conference. 

Saint Vincent hosts Waynesburg on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Start time is set for 7 p.m. at the Carey Center.
