Luke Spisak pitched into the 7th and Eddie Kilkeary hit a 2-run home run as the Bearcats defeated the Milwaukee School of Engineering by a score of 8-4 in Auburndale, FL.

The Raiders started the game with a double, but Dylan Kugler gunned the runner out trying to steal third to keep the game scoreless.  In the bottom of the first, Kugler then got the offense started with a double to left center, and Ben Webb followed with a double to right to get the Bearcats on the board.  Greg Martin later singled home Webb to make it 2-0 after an inning.

TJ Kuny led off the second with a single for the Bearcats, and heads-up baserunning helped SVC add to its lead.  Luke Fox bunted down the third base line for a sacrifice, and Kuny never slowed, going all the way to third on the play since the base was uncovered.  He later scored on a wild pitch to put SVC in front, 3-0.

In the fifth, MSOE tallied three runs on an error and four singles to tie the game, but the Bearcats came right back in the bottom half of the inning. Webb bunted his way onto base with one out, then advanced when Kilkeary was hit by a pitch.  Martin then walked, and after a second out, both Aaron Burger and Adam Holliday drew RBI walks to make it 5-3.

SVC added insurance runs in the sixth, as Fox singled and stole second, then moved to third on a Kugler bunt before scoring on a double by Webb.  Kilkeary then hit his first home run of the season, launching a pitch over the left center field fence to make it 8-3.

Spisak worked 6 2/3 innings, giving up three earned runs.  Alex Augustine came on to work the final 2 1/3, giving up just one hit.  Webb went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and a pair of RBI. Fox and Kuny had two hits each.

SVC is now 2-2 on the season and will face Alma College in Winter Haven on Thursday (March 3) at 10:30AM.
