The Thomas More Saints won the third game of the weekend series over the Bearcats in Latrobe by a score of 18-4.
The Saints jumped on the board in the top of the first with some help from the Bearcats. Ben Laumann reached on a bloop single to right with one out, then moved to second on a wild pitch. The next batter hit a grounder to short, but the throw to first was off the mark, allowing Laumann to score the game's first run. After a single and walk loaded the bases, Ben Kenning hit a deep drive to center field. SVC's
Matt Morrone gave chase, crashing into the fence as the ball caromed. Kenning wound up with an inside-the-park grand slam, making the score 5-0.

SVC got a run back in the bottom of the second, when
Tanner Yard singled home
TJ Kuny.

However, the Saints got a 3-run home run from Bailey Abbatiello in the top of the third to make it an 8-1 game.

Down 13-1 in the bottom of the sixth, SVC got three runs back in one swing. After
Chris Winkler and
TJ Kuny both singled,
Eddie Kilkeary sent a pitch over the left field fence for his third home run of the season and second of the weekend.
From there, the visitors added five more late runs en route to the win.
Thomas More is now 2-1 in the conference, while SVC ends the weekend 1-2.
The Bearcats travel to Altoona on Tuesday (March 28) for a non-conference doubleheader against Penn State-Altoona.
