The Bearcats scored 8 runs in the final two innings to secure a 10-6 win over Beloit College in Auburndale, Florida.

SVC scored in the second inning, when freshman Ramon Milke battled at the plate and eventually singled to left center, scoring TJ Kuny, who had reached on a fielder's choice.

In the third, freshman Patrick Mahon doubled to left and scored on a single by Greg Martin, doubling the Bearcat lead.

Starting pitcher Dylan Pietrantoni shut down the Buccaneers through the first five innings, but got in trouble in the sixth, yielding four runs before giving way to a pair of relievers.

Saint Vincent trailed 4-2 until the eighth, when Eddie Kilkeary drew a one-out walk.  Kuny then doubled off the fence in left center field, scoring Kilkeary.  After Chris Winkler drew a walk, Milke singled home Kuny to tie the game.  Patrick McElfish then pinch-hit and hit a grounder to second that resulted in an error, scoring Winkler and giving SVC the lead, 5-4.

In the 9th, SVC got a leadoff single from Greg Martin, followed by a Bobby Finn walk.  Kilkeary then singled to load the bases for Kuny, who responded with a two-run single.  Winkler followed with a pop single to left that moved Kuny to second, but Kilkeary had to hold at third, once again loading the bases.  This time, it was Braden Hoffer that stepped up and singled home another insurance run.  Morrone later singled home two more runs to make it a 10-4 game.

The Buccaneers scored twice in the bottom of the 9th, with one run unearned, but Fred Gillespie got a popout to end the game and earn his first collegiate victory on the hill.

SVC (2-0) was led by Milke at the plate, who was 3-for-3 with 2 RBI.  Kuny was 2-5 and drove in three runs.  Morrone, Mahon and Martin also had two hits.

Gillespie worked the final 3 innings, giving up one earned run and striking out three en route to the win.

Saint Vincent will be back in action in Auburndale on Tuesday (March 7) at 9AM, facing Muskingum University from Ohio.
