MEADVILLE, Pa. (Sept. 11) - The Saint Vincent men's golf team finished in 13th place among 18 teams at the two-round Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College at the Country Club of Meadville.
Junior
Nate Yackovich put together a strong performance, finishing tied for fourth place overall. Yackovich posted a two-day total of 147 (74-73), just four shots off the pace of the individual championship, which was claimed by Ryan Quinn of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Sophomore
Brendan Shaughnessy finished tied for 43rd with a two-round total of 160 (76-84). Freshman
J.P. Duffy carded a 166 (82-84) over his first two collegiate rounds, while junior
Jimmy Dolan finished with two-round total of 170 and junior
Zach Wyatt tallied a two-day score of 179 (94-85).
Wittenberg University narrowly earned the team title with a two round team total of 605 (299-306), which was one shot better than Wittenberg University (606). Saint Vincent finished with a two-day total of 643 (318-325). A total of 99 golfers completed the two-day event.
Saint Vincent returns to competition with the Grove City Fall Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 12. The event is held at Grove City Country Club.
