INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
NEW CASTLE, Pa. (Sept. 25) -
Nate Yackovich finished in a tie for third place overall, helping the Saint Vincent men's golf team to a third place finish at the Westminster Invitational, hosted by New Castle Country Club.
Yackovich fired a 75 (39-36) for his round to tie for the third place at the event, finishing two shots off the pace of Gage Basiletti of Point Park University, who carded a 73 at the event.
Freshman
Ryan Owrey, a New Castle native, put together a strong day with a score of 80 (38-42) to tie for 20th place. Junior
Jimmy Dolan and freshman
J.P. Duffy were just behind Owrey, carding rounds of 81 (40-41) and 82 (46-36), respectively. Junior
Zach Wyatt rounded out the Bearcats in competition, totaling a score of 90 (44-46) for the afternoon.
Grove City College won the team title with a score of 315, just narrowly ahead of Pitt-Bradford (317) and Saint Vincent (318) in the 12-team event.
The competition was the final tune-up for the Bearcats before they take part in the two-day fall Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships on Sept. 2-3 at Squaw Creek Golf Club in Vienna, Ohio.
