The SVC women's tennis team lost its Senior Day matchup against visiting Geneva College by a score of 6-3.
With the loss, the Bearcats are now 3-3 in Presidents' Athletic Conference competition, 5-4 overall.
The day started well, with victories in two of three doubles matches. Â
Lucy Bujdos and
Maura Skelley were 8-2 victors in #1 doubles, while
Autumn Miller and
Lisa Marthens earned a point for SVC in #2 doubles, with an 8-5 win.
Six singles matches were up next, but the Bearcats were only able to win one match, with Skelley earning a straight-set victory (6-2, 6-3).  Geneva won the other five matches in straight sets, to earn the 6-3 win.
The Bearcats will continue a very busy week with a non-conference match against Pitt-Greensburg on Thursday (October 11) at 7PM at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
