Ebensburg, Pa. (October 14) -- A depleted Saint Vincent women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision at the Ebensburg Tennis Center to Mt. Aloysius College.
The Bearcats opened the match as the newly minted pairing of
Jessica Hartner and
Kate Palko captured an 8-4 victory at third doubles. In singles play it was
Lauren Hartner that got Saint Vincent on the board with a 6-0, 6-0 win at fifth doubles.
Jessica Hartner also won at sixth singles, 6-2, 6-0, to stay undefeated on the day.
With the loss the Bearcats drop to 7-7 on the year heading into the Presidents' Athletic Conference playoffs. Saint Vincent will travel to Blackhawk High School to take on the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes in the PAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 4 p.m.
