The Saint Vincent women's bowling team improved to 6-0 on the season with a three-game sweep of Penn State-Behrend on the road in Erie at Eastland Bowl.
The Bearcats won the opening game by nearly 200 pins, putting together a team score of 918. Sophomore anchor
Dani Koehler started the game with four strikes in a row en route to a 234 game. Freshmen
Jessica Guesman and
Abby Kyle each finished with a 178, while
Meghan Christman shot a 175.
Morgan Barlock rounded out the scoring with a 153.
In game two, the Bearcats won by 214 pins, 845-631. Koehler finished with a 200, tied for the team high with freshman
Lexi Cobbin. Guesman repeated her first game score, 178.
The final game also was won by the Bearcats, 807-641. Koehler finished with a 176, one pin ahead of Guesman. Sophomore
Rachael Heater finished with a 164.
Koehler led all bowlers on the night with a 610 series (203.3 average).
The Bearcats are now 6-0, and will return home for a matchup with Pitt-Bradford on Sunday, November 4. The match will begin at 12Noon at Hillview Lanes in Greensburg.
