FULL RESULTSÂ

The Saint Vincent Bearcat swimming teams stepped up to challenge Division II Indiana University of PA. The SVC women were defeated by a margin of 125-70, and the men fell by a final score of 129-69.Â
On the women's side,
Marion D'Aurora started out strong in the 1000 Free, battling it out with IUP's Gabby Gironda. D'Aurora narrowly out-touched Gironda with a time of 11:10.63.Â
In the 200 Free,
Maddie Bartrug rocketed to the finish, touching the wall at 1:59.85.Â
The 50 Free saw another tight race, with
Ciara Lewis coming in second place with a time of 25.65.
Later in the meet, Bartrug came in second place in the 500 Freestyle with a strong time of 5:32.02.Â
In the 200 Free relay, the quartet of Bartrug,
Samantha Mears, D'Aurora, and
Claire Kenna gave the IUP women a tough race, but ultimately came in second at 1:43.62.Â
After a tough first few events on the men's side,
Jacob Davis was able to secure a victory in the 200 Freestyle. His time was a stellar 1:46.22.
Later in the meet, Davis found victory again in the 100 Freestyle, with a time of 47.50. Â Â In the 500 Freestyle,
Kevin Martin finished in second place at 5:21.05.
Michael Marinchak showed a strong performance in the 100 Breaststroke, clocking in at 1:04.78 in second place.
In the final relay,
John Martin,
Danny Whirlow,
Ethan Yant, and Davis finished the 200 Free Relay in second with a notable 1:31.40.
Both Bearcat swim teams will travel to Grove City College next week, Saturday, November 10th, to take on the Wolverines in their second conference meet of the season. The meet starts at 1pm.Â
